Biofertilizer

Biofertilizers are a type of fertilizers that contain living microorganisms which, when applied to seeds, plant surfaces, or soil, colonize the rhizosphere or the interior of the plant and promote growth by increasing the supply or availability of primary nutrients to the host plant. Unlike chemical fertilizers, which directly provide plants with nutrients, biofertilizers enhance the natural processes of nutrient cycling and organic matter decomposition in the soil, leading to sustainable agricultural practices.
